In Boothbay Harbor, we see visitors from all over the world, drawn to the green water and granite outcroppings of the coast of Maine. Many of our clients come to us from their yachts anchored in the harbor just outside our door, flying the flags of exotic countries. Whether they speak French, Swedish, Italian, or English, they all have in common a particular joy in the life of the sea and the jewelry that represents the elements of the ocean they love. Another trait they share, we find every summer, is an irresistable attraction to the magical designs of Echo of the Dreamer.
Echo of the Dreamer was founded in Manhattan in 1993 by Margaret Thurman and her daughter, Myoshin. Pieces designed by Margaret are marketed under the label Echo of the Dreamer, while those created by Myoshin are sold under the label Mars and Valentine.
We show about 250 pieces here on the website, and we add a few more every week. Keep checking the Echo of the Dreamer/Mars & Valentine page every few days for new additions. Echo and Mars collectors who are able to visit the shop next summer will find a selection of over 300 pieces. Remember that many of these items are one of a kind, so if you see something you can't live without, don't hesitate too long!
